Wooden Frame with Glass – A Windbreak That Blends In
In this project, a glass railing was installed in a wooden frame on a small balcony facing the building’s facade. The railing consists of laminated safety glass with visible clamps and wooden crossbars, creating a warm, rustic look that harmonizes with the wood-clad building.
The solution serves both as a windbreak and as a discreet railing to enclose the patio. The glass lets light through and preserves the sense of space, while protecting the seating area from the wind and providing a safer boundary.
Advantages of glass and clamp mounts:
- Laminated safety glass
- Distinctive metal clamps
- Suitable for wood-frame or existing structures
- Suitable as a windbreak or patio railing
- Can be customized in size, color, and height
This type of solution is an excellent choice when you want to combine the natural look of wood with the transparency of glass. A discreet yet functional solution—perfect for smaller patios, cottages, or porches where unobstructed views are a priority.
