Checklist for Ordering Glass Railings
As with so many other things, preparation and planning are key to ensuring the best possible outcome!
We have therefore compiled a list of points that may be worth considering when ordering and installing your new glass railing.
Before Placing an Order
1. Where will your glass railing be installed? Will it be on a terrace, balcony, patio, or outdoors/indoors? The location of your railing is crucial in determining the height you can have for it. Therefore, be sure to check the applicable regulations.
2. What type of glass railing would you like? You can choose between a glass railing with aluminum or stainless steel posts or a glass railing with no posts at all.
3. What type of mounting do you prefer? Make sure you have sufficient support where the posts will be installed.
4. Is there enough space for the post base? You can check this by looking at our measurement templates.
5. Should the glass railing have multiple sides?
6. If the railing has several sides, how many degrees is the angle?
7. Do you have an inside corner or an outside corner?
8. Measure from the outer edge to the outer edge of the surface where the glass railing will be installed. All measurements are in millimeters.

When placing an order
Start by selecting a railing from our product overview. When you click the "Order" button, you'll be taken to the design tool, where you'll see exactly how much your railing will cost as soon as you enter your measurements.
The price is updated in real time as you change the railing details. You can choose:
- Crossbeam
- Clamp Mounts
- Glass
- Mounting
- Height
- Color (on certain products)
Once you have made all your selections, you will see a 3D rendering of your railing as well as a sketch showing the dimensions.
Based on the 3D drawing and the sketch with dimensions, you can easily see if the railing looks the way you want it to. You can choose to save your calculation as a quote or send the quote to yourself via email. This gives you the opportunity to check all dimensions and details one last time before placing your order, if necessary.
Once you're satisfied with your calculations and all the measurements and design choices are correct, you can place your order! Once the order is placed, you'll receive an order confirmation via email. The order confirmation will include all the details for the glass railing you've ordered.
Please check that the order confirmation matches your specifications, and contact us as soon as possible if you would like to make any changes.
After placing an order
1. When you receive the glass railing, it is important to inspect the delivery carefully to ensure that it has not been damaged during shipping.
2. In the unlikely event that any of the packages is damaged, this must be noted on the shipping label for the carrier and reported to Balustrade Store as soon as possible.
3. Go through the entire shipment. An instruction manual is included, which contains a list of the contents of the shipment. Please check to make sure you have received all parts and components. If anything is missing, please contact us as soon as possible.
4. Before you begin assembly, read the instruction manual carefully. Note that the measurements on the diagram are center-to-center measurements, that is, measurements from the center of one post to the center of the next post.
